Bias in the Documentary HOME
There is some bias views in this documentary because it only explores the negative aspects to the
technology and the negative effects it has on earth. However the documentary doesn’t explore the
positive aspects that it has on our planet like the technology that has allowed us to live an easier life.
Examples of how the new technologies and industries have helped us are the medical advances to
help save lives, the technological advances that help us communicate faster and with many more
people, etc. The only positive part of the documentary was the end when the narrator was taking
about what we are trying to do to help. The documentary also doesn’t explore how the negative
things were ultimately helping us live our lives. This bias obviously affects the viewers because
we are only seeing one side of the story. We are only seeing the bad part of what the new advances
are doing to our world and not the good side of what it is doing for us. This ultimately can create some
problems because some people don’t recognize that there is another side.

No Bias? You Decide!
One could argue however that there is no bias in the documentary because it looks at the
negative things that we have done to harm our planet like burning coal, emitting fossil fuels,
technological advances creating pollution and deforestation but towards the end it, it explored
what we are presently doing to try and reversethe effects we have made on our planet like
creating green energy, recycling, creating electricity in differentways and lessen the amounts
of chemicals we use.
